Range Rover Evoque Updated For 2017

Posted on: 2016-04-25

With over half a million units sold since its inception, the Range Rover Evoque is one of the most popular vehicles to ever roll out of Land Rover’s Halewood facility. For 2017, the compact SUV comes with minor tech refresh as well as a new limited edition called Ember.

Based on the HSE Dynamic variant, the Evoque Ember boasts a bold red and black theme. The roof, as well as the front and rear tow eye covers are finished in Firenze Red, while the body gets a Santorini Black paint. The compact SUV also gets a black ‘Evoque’ badge with a silver surround on the tailgate, and Narvik Black ‘Range Rover’ lettering on the bonnet. Finishing the Evoque’s new look are a slew of black-painted elements such as 20-inch alloy wheels, exhaust finishers, front grille and darkened front and rear lights. The cabin features Ebony Black seats with contrasting Pimento Red stitching, gloss black finishing throughout the dashboard, as well as black and red mats.

The 2017 model year will come with an enhanced version of the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system that promises faster responses and more intuitive operation. It can be accessed via a new 10.2-inch touchscreen with  a customisable home screen. Like a smartphone, the unit provides a 21:9 super-wide format with 1280×542 pixel resolution – an 80% increase over the Evoque’s standard eight-inch touchscreen. Also available is a new Graphite Design Pack, which is exclusive for the HSE Dynamic and Autobiography variants. The exterior package comprises 20-inch alloy wheels in Satin Technical Grey, a Narvik Black grille with a Satin Dorchester Grey surround, and tow eye outer covers in the same grey finish. Additionally, a black contrast roof, bonnet and tailgate lettering, darkened front and rear lights, Dynamic black exhaust finishers, as well as black detailing on the door mirror caps, bonnet louvres, foglight surrounds, fender vents and tailgate finisher are also included.

Customers will have a total of 18 exterior colours to choose from, including the new Aruba, Farallon Black, Carpathian Grey and Silicon Silver premium metallic paint finishes.
